Our On-Board ECDIS Audit Service
A bespoke package that can be individually tailored to client requirements.
The aim is to provide the Captain, management company or operator an objective assessment of the state of the bridge team and associated administration and equipment. A full report will be passed to those required on completion of the audit. ECDIS Ltd personnel are flexible and audits can be conducted worldwide; alongside or underway so as not to impact vessel programmes.
Areas and equipment included can include, but is not limited to:
- ECDIS administration and update
- ECDIS use and verification underway
- Audit of bridge navigation equipment with respect to accuracy, update and maintenance
- Audit of bridge administration and log keeping in accordance with company or ship policy

ECDIS Ltd is a privately owned UK registered company. Originally offering just the IMO 1.27 Generic ECDIS course, it went on to become the largest global independent company in its field, now offering over 30 STCW courses
Their original IMO 1.27 Generic ECDIS course is now delivered around the world every week to thousands of seafarers, however that only accounts for 2.4% of ECDIS Ltd’s turnover (FY 2013/2014) due to customer driven expansion. In 2014 ECDIS Ltd were awarded runner-up in the UK National Business awards for International Growth
